Mr. Jöhan Claude Murwanashyaka serves Jali Investment as Chief accountant.
With a vast experience in accounting and internal audit, he assists the management of company in all matters related to accounting and finance. Among others are the elaboration and maintenance of a robust accounting and reporting system, budget preparation and monitoring, the fixed asset management, ensure the finances of the company are governed by strong internal controls and procedures. Briefly, the Chief accountant ensures the financial reports portray a true and fair view of the company for further insight and informed decisions.
Mr. Jöhan Claude has almost four year of a high level experience and 9 years in various other junior positions. Before joining us, he has served Jali transport (one of our subsidiaries) as Finance Manager where he brought in noticeable changes in regards to accounting and business organization.
Prior to his experience with Jali transport, he was the Chief internal auditor of RwandaBar Association (Barreau du Rwanda). From 2016 to 2020, he played a crucial role in building a robust accounting and reporting system and frameworks of the aforementioned association. From 2009 to 2016, he served the Central Bank (National Bank of Rwanda) in various fields among others the analysis and reporting, the fixed asset management and the budget. Before that, he managed the payables, the tax related issues and the bank reconciliations of Novotel Hotel Umubano.
With a well-seasoned and strong experience in analysis and reporting, preparation and monitoring of budgets, monitoring key accounts, creation and management of an accounting system from scratch, asset management (register and policies), Mr. Jöhan Claude is at the point of the full understanding of the core processes. He has the ability to handle complex assignments effectively & possessing the confidence to work as part of a team or independently.
Mr. Jöhan Claude is pursuing a master’s degree in accounting and holds a Bachelor’s degree of business administration (accounting) from the School of Business and Banking (SFB, 2006).
